Object Oriented Programming

Back-end development: PHP, MySQL

The aim of this course is to cover the main topics of Back-end development. By the end of this course you will be able to build a dynamic web-application with a database. It is an intermediate level course and has as prerequisite the basics of HTML and Javascript and a basic level of programming.

MAIN TOPICS THAT WILL BE COVERED

PHP language. (all components such as if, for, foreach, while, functions etc)

Web requests and form methods (GET, POST)

Sessions and Cookies

Form validation, submission and handling

MySQL for beginners (Basics of MySQL, including how to create and modify tables)

How to QUERY? (a couple of hours on how to get and store our data in a database)

AJAX (Asynchronous calls, when and how to use them)
